Is the sky blue? I'll let you in on a little secret, aftercare is everything.
LET'S START WITH THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT ALL:
Microblading is a very superficial treatment, meaning that is doesn't permeate very deep into the surface of the skin. Our skin cells regenerate roughly every 28 days, the dead skin cells slough off and reveal fresh, new skin. If you do not follow proper aftercare protocol, your Microblading will not heal well. My aftercare routine has been formulated carefully over the years, in order to achieve the best possible pigment retention and it should be followed to the letter.
The oilier your skin is, the more difficult it is to achieve good pigment retention- but it is not impossible! Many of my clients have achieved wonderful healed results, even with extremely oily skin and although I'd love to say it's all at the hands of my brilliant blademanship (lol, yes, I just made that a word) it would not be possible had the clients not perfectly executed the aftercare routine.
IT'S A TATTOO, IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE:
When my clients return for their touch ups, it's clear to see when they've religiously followed the aftercare routine. I cannot stress enough the importance of aftercare. Yes, Microblading is a form of tattoo but it is much more delicate than a regular tattoo and it will not heal well without a little help. It can entirely disappear, if you're not careful. The tattoo can blur, fade or vanish completely, as I just mentioned. The key to great Microblading is a well trained Microblading Technician and strict aftercare.
Here is an example of how crisp healed results can be (after just one session) on oily skin:
I always say to my clients "Yes, it's a little tedious at first glance, but it's actually very quick & easy and it will be worth the end result 100 times over". You've paid a lot of money, gone through the tattooing- why undo it all by wearing makeup and going swimming the week after? Great results are truly in your hands once you leave the clinic, but I'm here to help every step of the way!
Take my word for it, great brows are made with great aftercare!
